One of my specialties is painting Trompe L'oeil Murals which are Illusionary Murals and are meant to "deceive the eye". What you see is not always what you get. These murals are a great way to open up a room, such as painting a scene of a beach as seen through a painted window on the wall. An illusion that looks real.
The paintings are applied to walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, canvas and anything else you can think of. Even cars and trucks. The options are numerous.
